As you approach Sonevafushi by air, the unfolding panorama is breathtaking: and- fringed atolls in turquoise sea give way  to brilliant coral reefs protected by lagoons.

Opened in 1995, Sonevafushi sis on ts own private island, the largest given for tourism in the Maldives and is the first resort in the Baa Atoll region.

Transfer

The island is accessible by a scenic 25 minute float plane flight from Male’. Clients who arrive by late night flights will overnight in a city hotel, as seaplanes do not operate after sundown. They will be transferred the next morning with the first available flight. Clients departing by evening flight will be provided a transfer as late as possible. Check-out from the resort is at 1200 hours. It is recommended to take a day use room in Male’ up to the time of the International departure flight.

FACILITIES

Rooms: All 65 rooms have garden bath room and the Duplex Villas have picture windows looking across the lagoon. Comprehensive hi-fi systems are installed in villas with the exception of Rehendi rooms, however portable CD players can be provided for Rehendi rooms on request.

Dining: The main restaurant located on the sunrise side and is open for “a la carte” dinner. Me Dhuniye Restaurant  is located on the sunset side; “ a la carte” with its unique concept: “ East meets West”. Main Bar is located in the main area. The sunset bar located at Me Dhuniye Restaurant.

Diving: Soleni Dive Center multi-lingual staff, speaking English , French , German, Italian and Japanese, and ensure that you get the best attention at all times. We have over 30 dive sites to tempt you with and provide not only daily diving but also fill day trips to those sites a little further away.

Land Sports: Backgammon and chess tables are located in the main bar. Ball games and badminton are available. Other board games are available. A Tennis Court is also available for tennis lovers.

Water Sports: Windsurfing, diving, water-skiing, catamaran sailing, canoeing, fishing, island hopping, etc.

Excursions: Snorkeling excursions and excursions to inhabited and uninhabited islands.

Others: An exercise room providing a selection of weights ad equipment is available in our Spa. We invite you to choose from our selection of music in Villas, where CD players are installed. Conference Room is equipped with latest   audio visual facilities, and can accommodate up to 10 persons. The library provides satellite television, Internet access and a selection of books for your reading pleasure. In the SPA there are various massages and other beauty treatments available.
